1. Introduction
Welcome to the Seahart community! These Community Guidelines are designed to help create a positive, respectful, and safe environment for all users. By using Seahart, you agree to follow these guidelines and our Terms of Service.
Our mission is to help you stay connected with close friends and family through intimate social pods. These guidelines outline the types of content and behavior that are acceptable on our platform.
2. Core Principles
At Seahart, we believe in the following core principles:
- Authenticity: Be your real self and foster genuine connections.
- Respect: Treat others with kindness and respect, even when you disagree.
- Safety: Help keep the community safe by reporting harmful content.
- Privacy: Respect the privacy of others and be mindful of what you share.
- Inclusivity: Embrace diversity and be inclusive of all backgrounds and perspectives.
3. Pod Etiquette
Pods are the heart of the Seahart experience. To ensure a positive experience for everyone in your pods:
- Respect the purpose of each pod you join or create.
- Secure your pod by locking your invite code when not actively inviting new members.
- Be mindful of who you invite to your pods, as you're responsible for the community you build.
- If you're a pod creator, set clear expectations for your pod members.
- Consider the comfort level of all pod members before sharing sensitive content.
- Use the remove member function responsibly and only when necessary.
4. Content Guidelines
We want Seahart to be a place where everyone feels comfortable. The following types of content are not allowed:
4.1 Harmful or Dangerous Content
- Content that promotes self-harm or suicide
- Content that encourages dangerous activities that could lead to serious physical harm
- Instructions on how to commit violent or criminal acts
4.2 Hateful Content
- Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups based on attributes such as race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, sexual orientation, or gender identity
- Content that contains slurs or stereotypes that demean or mock protected groups
4.3 Harassment and Bullying
- Content that harasses, intimidates, or bullies individuals
- Repeated unwanted contact or communication
- Sharing others' private information without permission (doxxing)
- Content that shames, insults, or attacks individuals
4.4 Adult Content
- Sexually explicit content
- Content that sexualizes minors
- Graphic depictions of sexual acts
4.5 Violent and Graphic Content
- Gratuitous violence or gore
- Content that glorifies violence or suffering
- Depictions of extreme violence without appropriate context
4.6 Illegal Activities
- Content that promotes illegal activities
- Content related to the sale of illegal goods or services
- Content that infringes on intellectual property rights
4.7 Misinformation and Deceptive Content
- Content that spreads demonstrably false information that could cause harm
- Manipulated media that could mislead users in ways that could cause harm
- Impersonation of individuals or organizations in a way that is intended to deceive others
5. Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it to us. To report a violation:
- Navigate to the Settings section in the app
- Choose "Report a Problem"
- Select the appropriate category and provide details about the violation
We review all reports and take appropriate action based on the severity and frequency of the violation.
6. Enforcement
We may take one or more of the following actions in response to violations of these guidelines:
- Content Removal: We may remove content that violates our guidelines.
- Warnings: We may issue warnings to users who violate our guidelines.
- Account Restrictions: We may temporarily restrict certain account features.
- Account Suspension: We may temporarily suspend accounts for severe or repeated violations.
- Account Termination: We may permanently terminate accounts for the most severe violations or patterns of repeated violations.
The action taken will depend on the nature and severity of the violation, the user's history of violations, and other relevant factors.
7. Appeals
If you believe that your content was removed or your account was restricted in error, you may appeal the decision. To submit an appeal:
- Navigate to the Settings section in the app
- Choose "Report a Problem"
- Provide details about why you believe the decision should be reconsidered
We will review your appeal and respond as soon as possible.
8. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the law, or our services. We will notify users of any significant changes through the app or by other means. Your continued use of Seahart after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated guidelines.
